Today I’m bringing you my Bibliothon TBR, I took part in this back in 2017 and January this year .. although I never finished all challenges, at the least I only read 2 or 3 books during the read-a-thon. But without further ado let’s get into the books that I’ve picked for this.
The Bibliothon started yesterday (14th) and will go on until the 20th.
1. Group Book
For the summer bibliothon, the group book is The Wicked Deep. I’m so happy it’s a book that I already have (I had to rush out and buy otherworlds last time and ended up not reading it during that week!) and It is something that I am interested in reading so we shall see.
2. Choose From Someone Else’s TBR.
Oh crap, let’s go do this. So I’ve just watched 4 tbr videos and only two of them had a book or two that I do own and I decided on using Merphy’s tbr instead, she had two (An Ember in the Ashes and Love & Gelato) so I decided to go with Love & Gelato because I’m wanting to tick more contemporaries of my tbr anyway. Link to Merphy’s channel is here.
3. Try the first chapter of 3 books and pick 1.
The 3 books I decided on are Royally Lost, Shatter Me & The Summer I Turned Pretty. I wanted to read more hyped books which applied to two of my pics while the third is because It’s a contemporary, and seems like there’s a love story in it. I will be reading these three today & I will let you know my final pick later on.
4. Read a book that has been on your tbr for over a year.
For this one I’ve chosen 5 to 1, mainly I’ve been putting that one off because it’s told in verse, something that I don’t particularly like but hopefully I do get to it and can actually tick it off otherwise I’ll have to unhaul it.
5. Read a predicted 5 star read.
This was far too easy for me, lately I’ve been loving any books that has faeries in the story, so it’s no surprise that I’ve picked The Iron King. It’s just all about faeries and I just cannot wait to get into it.
6. Read a own voices book.
My pick for this has actually came from my July tbr anyway, and that is Queens of Geek. It’s pink, looks very summery, so why not? Plus just another reason for me to actually tick it right off my tbr.
7. Read the last book you bought.
Well technically I can’t read the last book because I already read it (it was The Heart of Betrayal and I read it as soon as it landed in my hallway). So I’ve had to settle for the order before that and since it was a big order, picking one was difficult but I decided on Piglettes. Again just another summery read, set in Paris .. and it’s been so hot here lately, so perfect outside read wouldn’t you say?
I hope to read not all of them but most of them, priority goes to reading 5 to 1, The Iron King, The Wicked Deep & my chosen pick for the ‘read a chapter of 3 books and pick 1’.
Are you taking part in the Summer Biannual Bibliothon?
Until the next post
