This Is My Genre, Tell Me Yours Book Tag

Hi lovelies
I’m back with another tag that I found while blog-hopping and reading older posts, so this one was found over at Kate @ Reading Through Infinity, so go and check out her blog which I actually adore as of this moment!  So let’s get into the tag;

· Link back to the original creator of this tag Drew @ The Tattooed Book Geek
· Answer the questions
· Tag as many people as you want.

What’s your favourite genre?
Oh it’s always gotta be fantasy, it’s just one of my all time favourite now!

Who is your favourite author from the genre?
Oh that’s easily Sarah J Maas and Mary E Pearson! I love their writing and just how they tell the story too!

What is it about the genre that keeps you pulling back?
Oh it’s everything, the story, the magic, the characters, the new world, the world building.. everything! Fantasy just seems to cover all areas for me and I love it.

What’s the book that started your love for your favourite genre?
Well even though Harry Potter can be classed as a fantasy too but at the time of me knowing about the fantasy genre I have to say A Court of Thorns and Roses is the book that started my love for it.

If you had to recommend at least one book from your favourite genre to a non-reader/someone looking to start reading the genre, what would you choose and why?
Ooh I’d go with The Raven Boys, I would’ve reccommended any of Sarah J Maas’ series but they have steamy scenes in, so I’ll stick with The Raven Boys because it’s so magical and just the writing is beautiful too. I feel like they’ll love reading about Blue and her raven boys too!

Why do you read?
I have so much spare time, I’m a stay-at-home carer for my sister so I don’t work but since it’s not like I need to be there for her 24/7 (it’s basically like looking after a child, stick her in bed with her tv on and she’s fine for hours), so I need something to fill the time while my boyfriend is also deployed. And I love visiting all the new worlds and just the new stories, it takes me away from reality for a bit which is such a relief!

I’m not tagging anyone particular for this one today, but if you’re reading and you haven’t done this one, then I tag you.
Until the next post
