Lately I’ve been watching Reagan’s older videos on Booktube and I stumbled across a tag video that she made, which I thought was perfect to use as Spring is almost here (not for us, rip.. we just have a extended winter period.) She’s one of my favourite booktubers, so please do check out her channel, after I finish up this tag.
1. The struggle of getting started:
a book or series you struggle to begin because of its size
I’ll have to go with TGGTVAV for this question, it’s big for me and it’s a well loved book, I guess the hype can also apply for this too. I even own the second book too which I still struggle to pick up.
2. Cleaning out the closet:
a book or series you want to unhaul
I want to unhaul Miss Peregrine’s because I’ve had several attempts to read this book and I always do end up putting it back down because I can’t get into it. It’s sad because I actually liked the adaptation.
3. Opening windows and letting fresh air in:
a book that was refreshing
I discovered this book via the Zoella Book Club and I loved it so much. The world, the characters, the plot, everything was so refreshing and honestly I’m planning to re-read this trilogy this year because I just wanna re-visit everything again.
4. Washing out the sheets:
a scene you wish you could rewrite
If you saw my review for this that was posted last year then you’ll know which scene I wasn’t happy with. Well in fact there was three, I’d change the lock scene and actually have someone die to form that. I’d also change who dies on the battlegrounds because obviously some left a wound in me, and I’d also change the ending because WHY DIDN’T SARAH LET US SEE MANON RETURNING HOME? I mean I really wanted to visit the wastes, like what the hell?
5. Throwing out unnecessary knick-knacks:
a book in a series you didn’t think was necessary
I’m probably going to get hate for this, but eh I don’t care. It’s my opinion. I haven’t read this but I know people say to read this before Empire of Storms (book five) as it’ll help you understand the new characters and what they have to do with the plot. But honestly I understood perfectly fine and I don’t really want to dip into the backstories, since I don’t like the old Aelin (the assassin).. I actually prefer her as Aelin.
6. Polishing doorknobs:
a book that had a clean finish
Can i go with this? This book brought me all the fuzzy warm feelings, and left me feeling so delighted with how it ended. It’s such a precious book and I love it so much.
7. Reaching to dust the fan:
a book that tried too hard to relay a certain message
I’m going to skip this one because I can’t think of one right now and honestly there’s too many messages so eh, I give up.
8. The tiring yet satisfying finish:
a series that was tiring but satisfying to get through
I’m going with ACOTAR series for this, I know the series isn’t over yet. But since the next book will be in 2 different character’s POVs.. means it’s not about Rhysand and Feyre and I’m happy with how it ended for those two in ACOWAR. And it’s took me a entire year to pick it up, after putting it down three times so I am happy I’ve caught up on the series.
Until the next post
