Easter is almost here and I couldn’t resist entering this readathon that’s hosted by Kate @ Reading Through Infinity, it will take course over four days this weekend from Friday 19th until Monday 22nd April. She has posted some challenges and a bingo board, I’m also pretty sure she’s hosting a giveaway but the whole announcement post is linked above! So with all that explained and out of the way, let’s get into my tbr for the readathon;
Kate said you’re allowed to double up on challenges, so you don’t actually have to read 8 books, you can read 4 books if you want to. I’ve managed to double up on challenges so I’ve only given myself 4 books to read, and they are;
Read a book that’s spring or summer themed & Read a book about new beginnings
I have ordered this about a fortnight ago, it hasn’t arrived yet but I’m hoping it arrives before Friday, if not then I’ll have to pick another book that fits the challenges. All I know is it’s about a girl who moves to Egypt (I think) so it’s a new beginning for her, as she has to leave her life, school & friends behind.
Read a book that involves an animal or pet & Read a book with a yellow or green cover
I’m finally picking this back up and I will finish it, this book features several animals, two which are pets in a way, and one is a wild animal, but this is book three in the Three Dark Crowns series, with the final book dropping this September. We have yellow and green on the cover, so I hope it fits the challenge.
Read a graphic novel that’s been on your TBR for ages & Read a book by a new-to-you author
I know I only just got this recently (late valentines day present), but I’ve been wanting to read this for ages, and I believe the mc is gay, I may be wrong though. He’s also a figure skater who has to learn how to play Ice Hockey which I’m totally here for.
Read a book by an author of colour & Read an LGBTQIAP+ book
I have the beautiful Fairyloot edition with pink sprayed edges, I’ve heard amazing things about this book so I can’t wait to pick it up. This book also has f+f romance in it which appeals to me because I’m trying to read more diverse this year.
So I’ve managed to keep it to 4 books, I may have spent a good chunk of my time changing some of the challenges around to fit each book, but hopefully they all fit for the challenges.
Are you partaking in the readathon? What’s on your Easter tbr?
Until the next post
